To mark the 75th anniversary of the Basic Law on May 23, Ströer has launched a motif competition for schoolchildren. In creative contributions, the pupils have dealt with the basic rights and are showing their very personal interpretation of the Basic Law on the 75th anniversary on numerous screens in the city.
The competition is the culmination of a content-driven overall digital campaign that has been informing and educating Germany's citizens about the values and rights of the Basic Law on public video using various dramaturgical elements for the past seven weeks. The overall campaign began with statements on the Basic Law, followed by educational spots for children and adults. Throughout the entire campaign period, children were invited to interpret the Basic Law in their own pictures in motif competitions throughout Germany in close cooperation with the cities and school authorities. The pupils' motifs can be seen again and again this month on Ströer's digital media carriers locally in their respective hometowns and will be broadcast nationwide on May 23. In cooperation with UNICEF, a spot will also be shown that draws attention to the importance of children's rights in the German constitution. This means that the content program on the digital media carriers in the cities this month will be significantly influenced by the voices of the young generation.
"The Basic Law of the Federal Republic of Germany is not just a legal document, but the heart of our democracy and the foundation of our coexistence in a free and democratic constitutional state. The content-driven project for the 75th anniversary of our Basic Law is a matter close to my heart. This year in particular is more than ever about positive news, factual information and education - for everyone. We are using the possibilities of our public video medium with its huge reach. This allows us to focus on the community foundation and this sense of community is exactly what we need right now. Our birthday campaign and the works of the students make a visible contribution to this. Children are our future, which is why we are delighted that so many people took part in the motif competition and that we can show the students' ideas, thoughts and wishes to all of the city's citizens on our media," says Alexander Stotz, CEO of Ströer Media Deutschland GmbH.
