10. October 2025
On 25 September 2025, the nationwide ‘shift change’ took place. This is an initiative in which people with and without disabilities swap roles, gaining new insights into each other's working lives. Ströer took part in this initiative in Berlin.
Three Ströer employees had the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes at a workshop run by faktura gGmbH. This workshop offers people who, due to a disability, are temporarily or permanently unable to meet the performance requirements of the general labour market, the opportunity to participate in working life.
faktura gGmbH is a recognised workshop for people with disabilities, which not only offers employment but also provides training in various areas. After a warm welcome, there was a tour of the workshop with its individual work areas: IT department, sweet factory, coffee factory and a textile area with a sewing and felt workshop.
Under supervision, Ströer employees were able to get actively involved: making sweets themselves, roasting coffee, brewing it and, of course, tasting it. In the textile area, they made small felt coasters.
In return, Ströer's Berlin office welcomed two employees from faktura and showed them how Ströer turns an idea into a finished product on a media carrier: from searching for suitable locations in the city, processing them on the computer, to preparing offers for potential contractual partners, all in fast forward in one day.
The shift change in 2025 was a great benefit for everyone involved. Not only did it open up new perspectives, but it also showed how much humanity, competence and commitment there is in each individual, regardless of impairments.
