Ströer is the new media partner of Team Germany and Team Germany Paralympics. From July 19th to August 8th for the Olympic Games and from August 21st to September 8th for the Paralympics, a nationwide Team Germany campaign will run on digital screens - Public Video Infoscreen, Public Video Mall, Public Video Station, Public Video Roadside and Public Video City - in train stations, shopping centers, on the street and in pedestrian zones.
The motifs show athletes as part of the communication campaign with the slogan “Now. Forever”, which aims to prepare the whole of Germany for the special moments that await fans and athletes at the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris in the coming weeks. The digital out-of-home campaign will focus on the cities of Berlin, Bonn, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg, Hanover, Cologne and Mannheim. Munich and Leverkusen will be added for the Paralympics.
The official launch of the collaboration took place last Friday at Cologne Central Station, where special field hockey motifs were shown on Ströer's digital screens throughout the station to mark the departure of the field hockey teams to Paris. To the delight of the departing athletes, who diligently took selfies in front of their own motif.
“The athletes of Team Germany train for many years for this one moment. Now in Paris it counts and we all want to experience moments together that will last forever. That's what our campaign “Now. Forever” stands for. Our goal is to give the German athletes the best possible visibility nationwide with the campaign before the Games and the associated activations during the Games - together with our partners. The partnership with Ströer as an outdoor media expert is a fundamental building block for this,” says Claudia Wagner, Managing Director of Deutsche Sport Marketing.
“We are delighted to be able to support the athletes of Team Germany and Team Germany Paralympics from home with this extraordinary digital out-of-home campaign,” says Alexander Stotz, CEO Ströer Media Deutschland GmbH. “The campaign utilizes the advantages of our DOOH media: high target group reach combined with local targeting in real time. We are thus creating the greatest possible attention for Team Germany's performance across the board.”
“Medal alarm” on public video
If the athletes of Team Germany achieve a place on the podium in the competitions in Paris, the “Medal Alarm” will be the centerpiece of the activation during the Games. The whole of Germany will be able to experience the successes from Paris on the digital advertising spaces: Thanks to Perfect Minute Advertising, the screens will show the medal winner with their own motif immediately after winning. The activation is complemented by the “Oh la la” format, which honors special achievements beyond the medals, and other motifs that encourage viewers to keep their fingers crossed for certain highlight events of the day.
